The third aim of the Canadian Physicians Financial Wellness Conference is social impact. Our conference strives to set an example of paying it forward by donating our net ticket proceeds to philanthropic causes supporting healthcare and financial literacy.
Do I get a charitable donation receipt for attending the conference?
We do not provide charitable donation receipts for conference tickets. However, donations to our selected beneficiaries will generate a charitable tax receipt. If you would like to make a donation to the various causes we research & support, please click the Donate button!
This year, we are supporting Sunnybrook Foundation and family medicine programs to connect unattached patients to family doctors as well as research stipends for Black and Indigenous students.
Using our conference proceeds, we established The Equity Award, an endowment fund that aims to give back to medical students with high financial need in perpetuity.
For our inaugural conference, we donated our proceeds to Habitat for Humanity GTA in support of financial literacy programs for Habitat housing families.
